A lucky bag (fukubukuro) is a bag filled with various items that is sold during the New Year’s sales. Department stores and brands prepare a limited number of these bags and sell them with the contents hidden from view. Typically, the items in the lucky bag have a value exceeding the price of the bag, bringing surprise and joy to the purchasers.
I don’t usually buy them, but this year I wanted one, so I decided to purchase a Starbucks lucky bag at the end of the year. The Starbucks lucky bag requires a prior application, and I was able to buy it because I won the lottery. Lucky me!

The bag has plenty of pockets, which is really convenient. It also has handles, making it easy to take out. This means I won’t have to search for my phone or wallet in the bag anymore.
Travel Pouch
It can be divided into three sections, and the middle pouch is removable. It also has a hook, making it very convenient to hang and use. It looks like it will be super useful for traveling this year! Definitely!
Clear Pouch
This one is a round pouch with a clear back, and it came with adorable coffee and donut stickers that remind me of Starbucks. The pouch can be hooked onto a bag, making it super convenient for storing small items that might otherwise get lost inside the bag.

I want to find my favorite cup. Since I don’t usually buy coffee beans at Starbucks, I’ll ask the staff for their recommendations and make a purchase based on their suggestions.

A ticket that can be exchanged for one drink up to 700 yen when used in-store. It’s a set of 7 tickets. Since each ticket is worth up to 700 yen, you can opt for a larger size or customize your drink. I’d like to try ordering drinks I usually don’t choose.

A stocking that can hold Christmas presents. I’ll keep it tucked away until next year for Christmas.

I was thrilled with the 2025 Starbucks Lucky Bag, which contained nine items. The bag and tumbler are not only adorable but also immediately useful, quickly becoming favorites. With these goodies, there’s no doubt I’ll be visiting Starbucks more frequently this year. I’m delighted to have something to look forward to at the start of the year. While this year’s lucky bag was from Starbucks, I’m already excited about getting another one next year.
