Ramen Shop in Osaka, Japan

Ramen is already popular around the world, but have you tried it before? Today, I’d like to introduce a ramen shop in Osaka.

At first glance, it’s a tiny ramen shop. After entering the shop, you will notice the space goes deep. You can choose your ramen from the menu at your seat.  At some ramen shops, you buy a meal coupon at the vending machine instead of placing an order before getting a seat. This time, I could take enough time to choose what to eat.

Here is the menu with an interesting catchphrase: ‘energizing soup’. Wow! There are 7 types of ramen, and you can order extra toppings as well. The base flavor is either seafood broth or chicken broth, and you choose from 3 tastes: salt, soy sauce, or miso. I ordered number 2, salt ramen with seafood broth.

While waiting for the ramen to be served, I felt someone glanced at me. A cat! Look at the pretty cat on the shelf. It is a welcoming cat, called ‘Maneki-Neko’. People believe it brings good luck and fortune to its owner. The figure often appears in shops and restaurants. It is said that cats raising their paws higher than their ears attract more customers compared to those that do not.” It’s fun to find those cats, isn’t it?

Looks yammy! It came with ’Kabosu’ which is a type of citrus fruit, similar to lime, that is commonly used in Japanese cuisine. It gives the ramen a more refreshing taste. The toppings were a boiled egg, some roast pork, Chinese bamboo, seaweed, leek and hot papers. The noodles were perfectly firm, and the ‘energizing soup’ has a light taste, which I like, and squeezing ”Kabosu’ made it even more refreshing.

It was true that it gave me a lot of energy!! GOCHISOSAMA!!
