Let’s have a break at Misdo!
Mister Donut, commonly referred to as “Misdo” in Japan, is a highly popular dounut chain. It made its way to Japan from the United States in the 1970s and has since been operated by Duskin, a company renowned in the cleaning industry.
Today, I want to introduce you to Misdo Museum located in Esaka, Osaka.

How to Enjoy Mister Donut Museum to the Max
Misdo Museum is part of Duskin Museum. At Duskin Museum, visitors can learn about the history and knowledge of cleaning through fun activities. The first floor of the building is Misdo Museum, while the second floor is dedicated to Duskin Museum.
The first thing that catches your eye after entering is the area where you can experience topping your own dounuts. You can create your own original toppings. For 300 yen per set, you can choose three types of dounuts and select from various toppings and chocolates.
I generously covered my dounut with white chocolate, sugar sweet, and golden topping, making it a luxurious treat. Creating and eating my own dounut was an absolute delight.
At the museum, there’s also an experience where you can create your own original dounuts. Reservations are available for children of elementary school age and older.
Inside the museum, you can learn about the history of Misdo and how dounuts are made.
Misdo used to let us collect points to exchange for prizes when we were kids. There is a display featuring all the past prizes. Among them, I saw the lunchbox I used to have, making me feel incredibly nostalgic. Now, you can see all the adorable prizes that are no longer available all at once.
There are various types of donuts illustrated on the walls. Plus, there’s an area that mimics a donut shop’s cashier, allowing kids to indulge in imaginative play.
Learn About Cleaning at Duskin Museum
Take the elevator to the second floor. On the second floor, you’ll find a wide range of cleaning tools, from mops for shelves and floors to traditional bamboo brooms.
There is a game—a mopping game! In this game, characters like dust mites, dust, and pollen are projected on the floor. Your goal is to clean up and defeat these characters using a mop within the time limit. You have 30 seconds to see how clean you can make the floor. Let’s give it a try!
No matter how much you wipe, dust mites and dust keep multiplying. You need to defeat them quickly because the time limit is almost up!
The result was ‘Let’s try harder.’ Phew, cleaning is tough. But I had fun mopping, so I want to keep my house clean like a game.
Take a break at the Mister Donut next to the museum.
It’s time to have a break at the Mister Donut next to the museum. Since it’s located in the same building, it’s very convenient. You can take out donuts or dine in—they offer both options. This time, I had lunch inside the store.
Choose your favorite donuts from the display and bring them to the cashier. Drinks and food other than donuts are ordered at the counter. Today, I ordered a strawberry donut, an egg donut, bite-sized Pon de Ring donuts, and noodle soup. For drinks, I could enjoy unlimited coffee and juice from the drink bar.
Since I could order not only donuts but also noodle dishes, I was able to enjoy a hearty lunch.
